AMP New Platform – Mandatory Registration

From 1 September 2025, the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) requires all companies to register in its new digital platform to manage technical and statutory ship certificates.

FAQ: AMP New Digital Platform Registration

1. Is registration in the new AMP platform mandatory?
Yes. As of 1 September 2025, all users must be registered in the AMP digital platform in order to continue managing technical and statutory ship certificates and authorizations.

2. What happens if I do not register?
Without registration, you will not be able to request, renew, or manage certificates and authorizations issued by the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP).

3. Which services are available on the platform?
Currently, several certificates for vessels or companies such as shipowners, operators or solicitors/lawyers and authorizations can be processed, including: CLC, BCC, BWMP, DMLC, CSR, ISM, ISSC, SOC, PAL, ISPS authorizations, armed personnel approvals, exemptions, ship security plan approvals, and more. The platform will continue to expand.

4. How are AMP fees paid?
At present, payments to AMP can only be made by bank transfer.

5. Can ISM Shipping handle the payment on my behalf?
Yes. If needed, we can process the bank transfer to AMP for you and provide the official receipt. Bank charges will be applied.

6. What information do you need from me?
We will request: full name, passport or ID number, nationality, position/role in the company, company name and address, contact phone and email, and a scanned copy of your valid passport (bio-data page).

7. How long does registration take?
Once payment and required documents are received, we normally complete the AMP registration within 1–3 business days, provided the AMP system is functioning normally.
